Combining both traditional and novel analytical approaches with diverse real-world data, including genomic, medical record, claims and patient-reported information, has allowed us to inform Life Science company internal decision making as well as submissions and presentations to regulators; health technology assessment authorities and payers; the medical community; and, patient organizations.

The Associate Director/Director, Business Development will identify, secure and retain business through professional, consultative and proactive sales efforts directed at decision influencers and decision-makers across existing and new life science customers.

They will also establish and manage new and existing customer relationships to enable development of new business opportunities and expansion across existing accounts.

Location: Remote will be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively identify potential new business opportunities across aligned life science customer account(s)
  • Demonstrate ability to leverage internal cross-functional resources to successfully close deals
  • Establish and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key advocates and decision-makers
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer organization and serve as the primary point of contact
  • Lead new opportunities deal construction, negotiations, proposal development, and any associated collateral and customer presentations
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of Genesis key offerings and capabilities and determine how to position across different customer segments and stakeholders
  • Ensure Genesis is well-informed on the evolving competitive landscape
  • Create comprehensive account plans for aligned accounts and track progress on a quarterly basis
  • Record all customer sales related activities in CRM system and ensure active updates are provided to sales management as required

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study.Graduate degree (Doctorate or Masters) in a RWE/HE&OR-related field (e.g., public health,epidemiology, MBA, health services research) also preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in business development in the biotechnology / pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare industry
  • Additional experience in RWE, project management, business development, and/or life science focused strategy consulting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and work independently and as a team player
  • Strong understanding of the RWE/HEOR/RWD landscape
  • High-level of business acumen, awareness, and understanding of industry trends
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities and ability to successfully lead, manage, and prioritize multiple opportunities of varying complexity
  • Ability to confidently interact with senior leadership and executives both internally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel
