STATinMED is looking for a Senior Claims Data Analyst to help provide custom reports and recurring data extracts to our diverse database.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will synthesize data in SQL and collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver polished reports in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical, customer service, and analytical skills with a strong base of healthcare industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Generate patient level analytical files and report of large-scale healthcare data for use in solving client research and analytics needs
• Deliver custom projects using SQL, Excel, BigQuery, or other software
• Work extensively with the RWE and Client Engagement teams to deliver insightful analyses to customers
• Independently interact with customers over web conference to understand data needs use-cases and uncover reporting opportunities
• Document, design and implement optimized solutions using feedback from other data analysts to improve execution efficiency
• Train other team members on SQL and reporting best practices
• Manage the completion of data normalization and analytical file preparation projects
• Act as a technical point of contact for syndication and major integration clients
• Present intricate use cases to fellow team members based on client projects
• Lead and collaborate with other members of the organization to increase success and quality of client experience
• Identify opportunities for partnership expansion

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required in quantitative or healthcare background such as Computer Engineering, Information Systems or Healthcare Informatics
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, report building, research, or similar work in a professional office setting
• Must have 3+ years of SQL experience in a professional office setting developing queries, views, and stored procedures
• Must have at least 1 year of SAS using SAS as a pass through to SQL environment
• Must have experience working in 835/837 medical and pharmacy claims data doing custom analytics or claims data product development or research for pharma/biotech clients either in house at a pharma company or at a known claims data analytics company
• Extensive knowledge of relational database principles
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong quality assurance abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage priorities simultaneously
• Experience with Real World Evidence (RWE), including medical and pharmacy claims/EHR data and coding terminology (DRG, ICD, HCPC/CPT, NDC)
• High level of initiative and the ability to work and organize time independently as well as with a group
