As part of the OPEN Health Real World Evidence team, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Providing expertise regarding SQL queries including writing, indexing, optimisation, and best practice
  • Extracting, transforming and loading data from raw text files into MS SQL Server and providing data from MS SQL to My SQL
  • Working alongside our development team to provide support and data expertise
  • Managing the overall structure of the data warehouse databases, including import/export processes and data accuracy
  • Securing backup of the data and data models and providing basic MS SQL server administration
  • Working independently and as part of the data analyst team to provide data insights
  • Working in Excel including pivot tables and cell calculations/functions
  • Ensuring all data imported and produced are factually correct and meet the requirements of the data specified
  • Ensuring all data import tasks are delivered within pre-agreed timelines to meet the specification
  • Making suggestions to improve the data warehouse through enhanced processes

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with SQL Server 2016+ with Excellent T-SQL skills
  • Experience across MS BI Stack – SSAS, SSIS, SSRS with particular strength/experience in SSAS (Tabular & Multidimensional)
  • Experience with scripting DAX is desirable
  • Strong data modelling and data warehousing development experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively use teamwork skills to interact and collaborate on alternative approaches to issues
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Experience with NHS data a plus
