The Youth Mental Health and Technology Lab (YMHtech) is a health research lab conducting research pertinent to the well-being and resilience of youth. Our core projects focus on the role of technology in youth mental health and the use of technology and service innovations to improve access and quality of mental health care.

YMHtech is an initiative of the Canada Research Chair in Innovation and Technology for Youth Mental Health Services, a title awarded to Dr. Shalini Lal by the Government of Canada. Dr. Lal is an Associate Professor Associate Professor at the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine’s School of Rehabilitation, a Principal Researcher at the University of Montreal Hospital Research Centre (CRCHUM), an Associate Researcher at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, and the Director of the Youth Mental Health and Technology (YMHTech) Lab.
